As an Atlanta native, Karen currently resides in Serenbe and has been in the real estate industry for 17 years. She is the first lady of Chattahoochee Hills as her husband Tom Reed has served as Mayor there since 2011. She helped Tom found DPM Fragrance (makers of Capri Blue candles, among many other wonderful fragrance products) - while they are no longer involved in day-to-day operations, Tom is still on the Board of the parent company, CURiO. She loves the challenge of helping clients discover their motivations and desires in real estate and enthusiastically helping them achieve their goals. She is a master negotiator and mediator.
Karen is a founding member of the Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre in Atlanta and is a member of CARE Women’s Network. She is also a part of the Atlanta Board of Realtors®, the National Association of Realtors® and FIABCI. Her designation as a CIPS makes her a specialist in International referrals. Karen was honored as a 2020 Top Producer by the Atlanta Realtors® Association.
An avid hiker, one of her favorite places is the 15 miles of beautiful trails located in Serenbe. Also a sports car enthusiast, she loves driving her Porsche Boxster S. She speaks a bit of French, is in the process of learning Spanish.
Born and bred in the South Carolina Lowcountry, Bandit (formal moniker, Elizabeth) moved her home base to Atlanta in 2014 to continue her career at a large engineering / architectural firm. While leading various teams (often on different continents) on a wide range of architectural design projects for retail and commercial spaces within international and domestic markets; she decided to expand her background by venturing into the real estate industry in early 2017.
Bandit utilizes her versatile expertise in architectural, interior, and landscape design to interface with homebuyers and supports continuous sales growth as a Realtor. She builds and maintains relationships with key clients based on institutional trust and subject matter expertise to promote home sales - leveraging expertise in legal guidelines and regulations with written communication skills to draft and negotiate contracts.
When she’s not helping clients or traveling for fun, you can find her in Atlanta’s Virginia-Highland neighborhood, where she’s lived since 2015 with her husband, landscape designer Matthew Klyn (who she serendipitously met in Serenbe) and their dog, Gunny.
Team Reed provides a home buying experience with unwavering professionalism, elite market knowledge, and ultra-personalized service.
